1. Universal transfer switch structure and working principle
Universal changeover switch (referred to as universal switch) is a cam rotary dial type changeover switch, its working principle, when the cam rotary dial B from the center position to the left 45 °, the cam squeezes the beads D1, so that contact A1 closed; when the cam rotary dial B from the center position to the right 45 °, the cam squeezes the beads D2, so that contact A2 closed. When the cam leaves the contact bead D1 or D2, the counterforce spring moves the contact bead downward, resetting the contact. In addition, in the same camshaft, you can install more than one cam, to realize the control action of multiple contacts

According to the action relationship table and symbol diagram, when the transfer switch is rotated 45° to the left, only one pair of contacts is connected, i.e., contacts ①, ② are connected, and the other three pairs of contacts are disconnected, i.e., contacts ③, ④, contacts ⑤, ⑥, and contacts ⑦, ⑧ are disconnected; when the transfer switch is rotated 45° to the right, two pairs of contacts are connected, i.e., contacts ③, ④, and contacts ⑦, ⑧ are connected, and contacts ①, ②, and contacts ⑤, ⑥ are disconnected; when the transfer switch is rotated 45° to the right, two pairs of contacts are connected, i.e., contacts ③, ④, and contacts ⑦, ⑧ are connected, and contacts ①, ②, and contacts ⑤, ⑥ are disconnected. ⑤, ⑥ are disconnected; when the change-over switch is rotated to the center position 0°, only contacts ⑤, ⑥ are connected and the others are disconnected.
